The sports, culture, and tourism industry, as an integrated sector that combines sports competition, cultural inheritance, and tourism experiences, serves as a crucial vehicle for meeting people’s aspirations for a better life and facilitating regional economic transformation and upgrading. Grounded in the effects of technology empowerment, this study first outlines the developmental advantages it brings to the sports, culture, and tourism industry. Then, it delves into the core challenges currently faced by the industry and proposes targeted sustainable development paths, such as constructing a collaborative and shared digital foundation and innovating mechanisms for industry-education integration to cultivate talent.
