Exploring the Impact of AI-Empowered Influencer Content on Ideological and Political Education among University Students

Abstract

In the era of artificial intelligence, influencer-generated content plays a significant role in information dissemination and exerts a profound impact on young people, especially university students. AI technology has reshaped the influencer content ecosystem, bringing an overwhelming flow of diverse values to college audiences. Influencer content presents both opportunities and challenges for ideological and political education (IPE) among university students. The opportunities lie in enriching the content of IPE and innovating its educational forms, while the challenges include disrupting the systematic understanding of values, undermining the purity of value orientation, and weakening the authenticity of value practice. Under the background of artificial intelligence, empowering ideological and political education with influencer content requires a multifaceted approach. This paper proposes constructing a clean and upright online ecosystem, building digital education platforms, and curating high-quality resources to achieve effective value guidance from the perspectives of environment, technology, and content.
